Body image is a very 'important' topic in society, well i mean technically why should it matter? it shouldn't, but people seem to think it does.
For example guys have to be lean with abs and muscle, nice hair, nice eyes etc. Girls need to be skinny, flat stomach, thigh gap, nice eyebrows and a pretty face etc.
People don't get that not everyone CAN be like that, it's genetics mostly that doesn't allow it, or just laziness but i mean we don't need to look like that, we can just be us.
Society is brainwashing people (especially teens) that its ugly to have some love handles or back fat or armpit fat or neck fat etc. it doesn't matter how you look its all personality to be honest and people don't understand that...
What makes it worse is the judging of others and believing what they say, or taking what they say into account. IGNORE THEM!! You are beautiful and you shouldn't be taking shit from other people.
What society thinks is beautiful is not healthy. Being thin hurts girls (mostly) physically and emotionally, emotionally they do want to be skinny and have thigh gaps and have a collar bone visable and society calls that beautiful and for girls to feel that way and get the attention of society they start off by skipping meals and throwing up food and eventually developing life threatening disorders such as bulima anorexia nervosa which can also lead to depression and anxiety society needs to be more accepting of all body types because physically not all bodies can achieve a "model" size shy can't all sizes be models other than under weight girls? Why can't over weight girls model? The simple answer is, to society it's not as accepting or beautiful if you are happy with you body BE HAPPY but don't be discouraging other body types to make you happy, as well as just as much as you don't want people making fun of overweight people saying they are fat and lazy don't be putting down skinny people because just as much as you can't control your weight and maybe being over weight runs in your genes maybe it does for a thin person to. So be happy with your weight WITHOUT putting other down about theirs.
